In an eaves or attic bedroom, make decorative use of sloping walls and ceilings. In this room, a gentle grey has been used on the feature wall to offset the white paint used elsewhere. Pick mid grey for walls but keep ceiling and woodwork white for a sophisticated backdrop to a bedroom decorating scheme.
Introduce blue into your decorating scheme based on key factors. If you have large bay windows then statement curtains in an inky-blue hue marries well with floral bedlinen. Add a dramatic centrepoint to a room with a glass chandelier, against a simple backdrop of white walls and a neutral sheepskin rug.
White furniture can still look warm in a white bedroom. Just make sure you choose a focal point, such as a fireplace or a four-poster bed, to create something grand and luxurious, rather than clinical and cold.
